Honouring the Self
Saturday, August 30th, 2008Laughing at oneself is always good medicine I believe, and having the ability to see oneself in a humorous light helps immensely.
Yesterday my husband typed a very long email, I personally know how long it was as he asked me to read it, not once but twice, as I suggested some improvements after my first time of wending my way through it. Then I needed to re read it for him.
Then he lost it off his computer!! My response was ‘Honey haven’t I said to you heaps of times to type it up in Word and save it, then you can cut and paste it into your email or add it as an attachment?
Great advice from some one who is not computer literate! Especially from some one who lost a whole blog post just two weeks ago, and who started to write a blog this morning, left it on the computer and went shopping intending to finish it on her return. Unfortunately the computer decided other wise and froze while I was away, so bye bye blog post, it has joined the rest of the documents that float around in cyber space.
I am now following my own advice and typing it in Word, so that I can cut and paste it into the blog when I have finished.
Now why did I lose it? Simply I believe to get me to acknowledge something, was it the fault of the cutting in and out internet service? Possibly, however I believe it was a sign or a signal for me.
Two days ago Susan, my colleague and I received a beautiful channelling, the first of two over two days, there is nothing unusual about that, we have been gifted with many beautiful writings over the years, and we appreciate each and every one.
This one however was a little different, it spoke to us about honouring ourselves, and that if we do not honour ourselves, then how do we expect others to honour us.
We spent some considerable time in discussion of that fact, and each made some decisions for the future. I have always had a fault or a pattern of putting others first, and my decision was to change that. A bit like a New Years resolution, however I saw it as a Spring Cleaning as this is the last day of Winter here in Australia, and a great time to bring in the new, and it was this that I started writing about this morning.
So I was half way through the blog when my husband, a wonderful man called out and said ‘are you ready’? as we were going to go out and have Sunday morning coffee and buy some groceries.
‘Yes’ I responded as I got up from my desk and left the half written blog sitting on the computer, and the rest you have just read about. All thought of honouring my self or what I was doing went straight out of the window. Now I know that it takes three times to lock some thing in and it can take three weeks to undo the pattern from your sub conscious mind, so one of the things which Susan and I had spoken about yesterday was the creation of a new sound to be called Honouring the Self.
Today looks like the day for it to be written.
I will keep you posted.
Wishing you
Peace Love Light and Honour for the self
