Today as I was thinking about writing to my blog I wanted to share some thing profound rather than just have a general dump of my thoughts, and so I would like to share with you a subject close to my heart.

The Unseen Factors Which May Control Our Lives

A strange heading for a topic you might feel, for are YOU not in control of YOUR life? Do YOU not make the decisions that shape your life? What is this woman talking about?

In many aspects unbeknown to you, YOUR life is shaped by influences far beyond your control; these are situations that you may not even be aware of, never mind have any way of dealing with.

So what are these factors which are so important, and play such a big part in YOUR life

I refer to them as Contracts, Vows, and Enforceable Obligations.

I will talk about them individually, and then look at how they can combine to have a controlling factor in our lives.

We are I am sure all aware of Contracts, they are the agreements we make in either written or verbal forms to do with or to accept a certain set of circumstances or an agreement between two or more parties for the doing or not doing of something specified.

They can also be an agreement enforceable by law, the written form of such an agreement, or an agreement between two or more parties for the doing or not doing of something specified.

Vows are some what different again, they are a solemn promise, pledge, or personal commitment for example marriage vows; a vow of secrecy, a solemn or earnest declaration.

To make a vow of some thing they vowed revenge. To declare solemnly or earnestly; or to assert emphatically. ‘ She vowed that she would take the matter to court’.

Enforceable Obligations are to me are the most interesting, and I will look at them in some detail, they include, using the dictionaries examples: to put or keep in force; compel obedience to: to enforce a rule; eg Traffic laws will be strictly enforced.

It can be to obtain (payment, obedience, etc.) by force or compulsion, to impose (a course of action) upon a person: The doctor enforced a strict dietary regimen

To support (a demand, claim, etc.) by force: to enforce one’s rights as a citizen.

To impress or urge (an argument, contention, etc.) forcibly; lay stress upon: He enforced his argument by adding details

These can be something by which a person is bound or obliged to do certain things, and which arises out of a sense of duty or results from custom, law, etc. something that is done or is to be done for such reasons: to fulfill one’s obligations, eg a binding promise, contract, sense of duty, and can be an indebtedness or amount of indebtedness, a favour, service, or benefit for which gratitude is due, a debt of gratitude: eg ‘He felt an obligation to his teacher’

Now if we step away from the examples of the dictionaries, and look at the daily things which happen in our lives, we set up enforceable obligations in our lives in many instances without ever being aware of them.

Take for instance the small blonde haired blue eyed moppet who adoringly looks up at ‘Uncle Johnny’ and sincerely ‘promises’ to marry him when she grows up. Many years down the track and with a number of ‘failed’ relationships behind her, and she still doesn’t know why she cant support a relationship with a man. The long ago ‘promise or enforceable obligation is locked deep within the psyche and the cellular memory of the body, and may bring up old memories of a long forgotten ‘promise’.

The two ‘best friends’ on primary school who are never going to be parted, and the lonely man or woman who has difficulty with friendships and relationships with other people is still connected in to that original promise.

How many times do we tie ourselves to an area because we made a promise to stay close to family, elderly parents, work situations and the like.

A large part of my working life is dedicated to removing and releasing these old contracts, vows and enforceable obligations, easily and effortlessly, allowing people to move forward with their life. How, well that’s a subject for another day, perhaps tomorrow,

Until then

Wishing you

Peace Love and Light

Sheila
